The Annual Membership meeting of the Northwest Danish Association took place on
Saturday, September 24th 2016 at 3:00 pm at the Seattle Danish Center (Harmony Hall).

The Seattle Danish Center is located at 1833 N 105th Street, Suite 205, Seattle, WA 98133.

Please note: To be eligible to vote, membership dues for the current fiscal year (July 1st 2016 to June 30th 2017) must have been received at the NWDA office by September 2nd 2016.

Proxies:
Individual members who are not planning to attend the Annual Membership Meeting may obtain an “Official Proxy Form” from the NWDA. Organization members shall use the “Organization Proxy Form” to notify the Secretary of NWDA of the name of the Organization’s member who was selected as its qualified representative to vote at the Annual Membership Meeting.

Board of Directors Nominations:
To be eligible for nomination from the floor at the Annual Membership Meeting, the member proposed to be nominated for the Board of Directors must:

  1. Have paid membership dues for the current year on or before September 2nd, 2016
  2. Be present at the Annual Membership Meeting
  3. Have agreed to serve on the Board of Directors

After the Meeting: Annual Dinner

The Annual Dinner will follow the Annual Meeting. The social hour begins at 5:00 pm and dinner is at 6:00 pm. The dinner includes typical Danish dishes, as well as entertainment. This year we are lucky enough to have a special performance by noted opera singer, Deanne Meek! Deanne has been performing at the Frye Art Museum this month in concerts to celebrate the works of Danish artist Vilhelm Hammershøi.

Appetizers:
Sild (herring)
Ost og kiks (cheese and crackers)

Main Course:
Frikadeller (Danish meatballs)
Brun sovs (gravy)
Rødkål (Danish red cabbage)
Kartofler (potatoes)
Grønne bønner (green beans)
Brød (dinner rolls)

Dessert:
Rødgrød med fløde (Danish red pudding with cream)

Beer, wine, coffee, and tea will be served.

Gluten-free and vegetarian options available if prearranged.
