2017 Annual Meeting and Dinner
Each year a social hour and dinner follows the Annual Membership Meeting. The evening entertainment for the 2017 dinner featured local Danish folk musician, Flemming Behrend (pictured). The 2017 annual dinner menu was created by Danish chef, Jørn Mathiasen.
2017 Dinner Menu:
Rejecocktail med brød og smør (Shrimp cocktail with bread and butter)
Gammeldags Oksesteg med Ovenbagte Rodfrugter, Tyttebær, Brun sovs og Kartofler (Old-fashioned beef roast with baked root vegetables, lingonberries, gravy, and potatoes) Gluten free and vegetarian options were also available
Citronfromage (Lemon mousse)
In 2016, guests enjoyed sild (herring) on pumpernickel bread, frikadeller (Danish meatballs), rødkål (Danish red cabbage), and more, with rødgrød (Danish red pudding) for dessert. After dinner the entertainment was a special performance by noted opera singer, Deanne Meek! Deanne performed at the Frye Art Museum in September 2016 in concerts to celebrate the works of Danish artist Vilhelm Hammershøi.
