Fredagscafe: Meet Danes in the Pacific Northwest

Fredagscafe is a chance to socialize with our Danish community each month. The event is a melting pot of ages and nationalities. Socialize in Danish or English with others who have an interest in Denmark and Danish culture! Fredagscafe is a fantastic opportunity for anyone learning Danish who would like to practice in an informal setting.

All levels, all ages, and all nationalities are welcome.

An NWDA-Aquavit!

For our next Fredagscafé, Heritage Distilling made a special infused aquavit for NWDA that we will be able to sample. These NWDA-bottles will also be available for sale!

The NWDA spirit is infused with:

  • Star Anise
  • Cardamom
  • Nutmeg
  • Clove
  • Sweet Orange Peel
  • Licorice Root
  • Grains of Paradise
  • …in a ten liter American white oak cask that used to contain a whiskey blend.

Other Nordic Offerings:

There will also be a special for members of NWDA – Aquavit Daiquiris for a reduced price of $7. 

Other Nordic offerings that will be for sale by the bottle include ‘Bestemor’s Aquavit’ and the ‘Nordic Treat’ (a liquorice vodka.)

About Heritage Distillery

Founded in 2011, Heritage Distilling is the most awarded craft distillery in North America 7 years in a row from the American Distilling Institute. It is located at 1836 NW Market Street Seattle, WA 98107.

The space is large and well-ventilated. It is both a distillery and a bar. There will be food trucks, but you are also welcome to bring your own food.

Heritage Distilling is family-friendly! They offer mocktails and Jones soda.
