Service and Sermon in Danish by Pastor Carsten Hansen of the Danish Lutheran Church of Vancouver B.C.

Join the choir! The choir will be directed by Heather McLaughlin Garbes and perform the same songs as last year. Optional rehearsal (with pronunciation assistance) on Sunday, December 22nd at 1pm at SJU. Required rehearsal on Monday, December 23rd at 5:30pm at SJU. Coffee hour following the service. Please bring cookies to share if you are able.

Donations are encouraged to cover costs of the event. Anything raised beyond costs will be donated to St. John United Lutheran Church and their programs.

All Danes and friends are invited to our Lillejuleaften Christmas celebration. There will be a short service recorded directly from Køge, Denmark. There will also be a video slide presentation of Church decorations in Køge. The Lucia Court will be in attendance. There will be refreshments following the service.

For those of you who weren’t able to make it to the Lillejuleaften at Nordia House, you might enjoy a little taste of the Danish Christmas spirit by sitting back in the peace and quiet of your home and listening to a short message filled with glad tidings.
