Celebrate Sankt Hans 2021 with NWDA in Oregon and Washington!
Washington:
Sankt Hans 2021 will be held in-person at Golden Gardens Park in Seattle!
For everyone’s health and safety, please bring your own food and drinks. We will provide skewers.
Fire pit will be marked with Danish flags.
Join us on June 23rd from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Golden Gardens Park.
Oregon:
Join NWDA on June 27th in Portland for a Sankt Hans Fest at Fogelbo!
The Sankt Hans party in Oregon has been postponed due to the heatwave. The new date is Saturday JULY 3rd, 2021! Join NWDA at Fogelbo in Portland at 7:00 pm to celebrate Sankt Hans Aften.
🕖 7:00 p.m.: We grill hotdogs (pølser), serve potato salad, and enjoy hygge with old and new friends. We will have beer and water available. You can bring other drinks, if you prefer. If possible, please bring a salad or a dessert to share.
🕖 9:00 p.m.: It will be dark enough to light a fire in the fire pit. While enjoying the fire we will sing the old Midsummer song “Vi elsker vort land” and possibly other well known Danish songs.
A BBQ , 60 chairs, and some tables will be available. If you have a small portable table, you may want to bring it. Parking will be in the Nordia House parking lot. Follow the path lined with Danish flags from the parking lot to Fogelbo. Bathroom facilities will be open in Nordia House.
Price: $20.00 for adults and $10.00 for children, to be paid on arrival. This fee is for Fogelbo, hot dogs, and drinks.
